Remorse and guilt gripped his throat like a vice as his hands limply fell to his sides. Eleven felt incomplete.
As he scrutinized the ground, he suddenly became aware of his own self-indulgence and selfishness. How could he pity himself for losing something that was probably better off without him?
He turned his gaze skywards, a faint ghost of a smile appearing on his face. He wouldn’t have been able to give her much more; she’d already had everything she’d ever wanted, and even if he didn’t, her happiness counted so much that it eased some of the pain away.

She paced the castle impatiently, her hands clenching at her sides. It was just a matter of time until they found her, hurt her, t o r e h e r a p a r t.

this wasn’t the factor that worried her the most.
She was afraid of hurting t h e m.
Elsa wrapped her arms around herself, hiding her fists into the folds of her dress. She couldn’t afford to hurt anyone else. She couldn’t cause more pain than she already had.
She bit her lip, turning her gaze upwards to prevent a tear that was welling up in her eyes. It was too late——
when she tilted her head back, the droplet slid down her cheek, solidifying into a glowing fractal of ice.
she hated this.
she hated herself.
She needed to end it.
